Sweet, fruity and naturally rinded cheese made by Jesse and Jake Rosevear at Mahoe Cheese, Oramahoe, near Kerikeri in Northland. Montbeliarde is the breed of cow whose milk is made into Comte - French Gruyere, and we think this cheese is as close to it as we get in NZ. Made with pasteurised cow's milk and vegetarian rennet.
